Living by Faith: How Beliefs Shape Our Actions

Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

“The word of God strengthens my beliefs and my beliefs govern what I think, say, and do.”

This isn’t just a fancy line I like to say—it’s my daily guide. You know how easy it is to let the ups and downs of everyday life push us around? We all do it. Sometimes, without even noticing, we start to let what’s happening around us decide how we feel, think, or act. But I try to stick to a different game plan.

Keeping this quote close to heart isn’t always a walk in the park. I have to remind myself of it constantly because, just like everyone else, I feel the pull to just react to whatever life throws my way. It’s a bit like trying to remember to drink enough water or eat veggies—good for you, but easy to forget when you’re busy! My quote is my mental veggie, you could say. It keeps me grounded and focused, no matter what’s swirling around me. So next time life tries to push you into reacting without thinking, maybe find your own “mental veggie” to keep you on track. It’s a game changer!

one day with a lot of pressure on me, my business mainly feeling overwhelmed I was circling the block to go to the post office and written in large block letters on the back of truck tailgate the words ( This To Shall Pass) upon reading that I realized this pressure is a speed bump on the road of life, it’s nothing with God nothing is impossible, proper perspective returned and I often answer pressure with that same statement

    1. That moment is a turning point. ‘This too shall pass’ is such a powerful statement, especially during those overwhelming times. It helps put things in perspective. You’re awesome brother!
