Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

Back in the days of school plays, I found myself cast into the grand narrative of Lewis and Clark. My role? A handful of lines that dissolved into the shadows of forgotten memories. And naturally, there was the customary singing – because what’s a play without a musical touch?

But here’s the revelation: standing before an audience used to be my ultimate Kryptonite! The mere thought of facing a crowd would set my heart racing and leave my words stumbling. It wasn’t just nerves; it was a fear that seemed insurmountable.

Yet, destiny had its script all set. Here I am now, as a minister, where nerves occasionally still pay an unwelcome visit. Yet, there’s newfound strength in embracing that apprehension, using it to fuel the fire that ignites my delivery of sermons and kindles those motivational speeches.

From those school days to this present moment, my journey has been a breathtaking odyssey. Who would’ve foreseen that those faint echoes from school plays, coupled with a fear so palpable, would catapult me into this extraordinary path? Life, the master playwright, perpetually scripts the most unexpected and awe-inspiring tales!
