Understanding how God sees us—our identity, worth, His actions for us, and His purpose for us—reveals the truth about who we truly are. This divine perception surpasses our own thoughts, emotions, and the opinions of others, as well as any challenging circumstances that may question our value. In essence, God’s perspective is the ultimate reality (Perspective of Truth).

Throughout the Bible, we find examples that highlight the profound impact of embracing God’s perspective. Consider the story of David, who was an unlikely choice for a king in the eyes of the world. Yet, God saw beyond David’s outward appearance and assessed him based on his heart (1 Samuel 16:7). This divine perception elevated David from a mere shepherd to a significant leader, demonstrating the truth that God’s view of us exceeds worldly standards.

Additionally, the Apostle Paul provides us with insight into the transformative nature of understanding God’s perspective. In his letters, Paul reflects on his own past, acknowledging that he was once a persecutor of the church (1 Corinthians 15:9). Yet, he recognizes that God’s grace and redemption in his life completely changed his identity and purpose. Paul’s understanding of how God saw him as a chosen instrument for spreading the Gospel empowered him to fulfill his role with unwavering dedication.

When we grasp the incredible truth of how God sees us, we must actively trust His perception, even when it conflicts with our own self-doubts or the judgments of others. This trust is nourished through seeking God in intimate prayer, aligning our hearts with His will, and expressing gratitude for His unconditional love. Just as Moses communed with God in the tent of meeting (Exodus 33:7-11), our secret place of encounter with God deepens our understanding of His perception, and He reveals Himself to us in remarkable ways.

As our relationship with God grows, His presence becomes more tangible, and His beauty captivates our hearts. Like the psalmist who declared, “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple” (Psalm 27:4), we find ourselves falling in love with Him. This love compels us to fully surrender and willingly participate in the work He desires to accomplish within us and through us.

Ultimately, understanding and embracing God’s perspective—His perfect perception of our true worth, purpose, and identity—transcends our limited understanding and enables us to experience the abundant life that He has planned for us (John 10:10). So don’t settle with “just living life” but live “LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY. This abundant life is the “Zoe” life of God which I will go into more detail about the “Zoe” life in my next article.
