Dive into the truth of God’s Word and learn how to live spirit-led. Don’t let your soul or body hijack your life—read now!
Let me tell you something: If you’re not spirit-led, you’re being misled.
That’s not a soft suggestion—it’s the hard truth. You’ve got a spirit, a soul, and a body. And if you’re letting the wrong one call the shots, you’re heading for frustration, defeat, and distraction.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. God designed you to live from the inside out, not the outside in. Let your spirit lead, and the rest of you—your emotions, your thoughts, and your actions—will fall into line.
Here are 7 steps to put your spirit back in the driver’s seat where it belongs.
1. Get Real About Who’s Leading
Be honest. Right now, who’s calling the shots in your life?
Is it your body? Your cravings? Your comfort zone? Maybe it’s your soul—your emotions, your pride, or your opinions. If so, you’re out of alignment, plain and simple.
Here’s the truth: Your spirit is the part of you that’s born again, alive in Christ, and connected to God. But your soul? It’s stubborn. Your body? It’s loud.
“For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.” (Galatians 5:17)
You’ve got to take inventory. Who’s running the show? If it’s not your spirit, it’s time for a serious shift.
2. Renew Your Mind Daily
Your mind is like a gate. It either lets the truth flow freely, or it blocks it with fear, doubt, and garbage.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
How do you renew your mind? You don’t just dip into the Word—you soak in it, saturate yourself in it, live it.
When you let your mind marinate in Scripture, your spirit gets louder, and your flesh gets quieter.
Stop feeding your mind junk and expecting your spirit to lead. You can’t binge negativity and walk in victory.
3. Agree with the Word, Not Your Feelings
Your feelings are like toddlers in a tantrum—loud, messy, and not in charge.
Your spirit is the part of you that’s steady. Unshaken. Aligned with God’s Word. And the Word says:
“By His stripes, I was healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
“I am a new creation in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
But your soul screams back, “I don’t feel healed!” Your body whines, “I’m tired and broken!”
Stop agreeing with the noise. Agree with the truth.
4. Command Your Situation, Don’t Complain About It
Here’s a hard pill to swallow: Complaining is agreeing with the enemy.
Every time you whine about how bad things are, you’re giving power to the problem instead of the solution.
Jesus didn’t tell us to complain to mountains. He told us to command them:
“If anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt… it will be done for them.” (Mark 11:23)
So stop whining about your problems. Start commanding them to move.
5. Praying in the Spirit Flips the Script
When was the last time you prayed in the Spirit? And I don’t mean a quick prayer before dinner. I’m talking about warring in tongues, building yourself up in your most holy faith.
“But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” (Jude 1:20)
Praying in the Spirit strengthens your spirit, drowns out your emotions, and aligns you with heaven’s agenda.
If you’re not praying in the Spirit daily, you’re leaving power on the table.
6. See Yourself Through God’s Eyes
How do you see yourself? Be honest. Do you see yourself as broken, struggling, or just trying to get by?
That’s not how God sees you. He sees you as whole, complete, and victorious.
“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him.” (2 Peter 1:3)
When you stop looking at yourself through your feelings and start seeing yourself through the Word, everything changes. You stop striving and start walking in the victory that’s already yours.
7. Let the Spirit Lead Every Day
This isn’t a one-time thing. This is daily. Hourly. Moment by moment.
The Bible says: “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 8:14)
If you’re letting your emotions, your circumstances, or your five senses lead, you’re out of alignment. It’s time to stop letting your feelings run the show.
Your spirit knows the way. It’s connected to God. But it can only lead if you let it.
Final Word
This isn’t just about behavior. This is about identity. You’re not just a saved sinner—you’re a son or daughter of God, made whole, spirit, soul, and body.
Stop letting your body and soul hijack the conversation. Stop agreeing with your feelings. Fix your eyes on the truth, command your situation to line up with the Word, and walk in the victory that’s already yours.
You’ve got everything you need. It’s time to let your spirit lead.
